DISD Board Member Engages in Sneaky Tactics And uses district lawyers and your tax dollars to do it! As reported in the Dallas Morning News (link), Jerome Garza (Trustee for District 7-picture) had precincts switched on the DISD redistricting map without anyone's consent or knowledge. The precincts were switched from DISD District 6 to District 7. District 6 is Carla Ranger's District.

The Classic Motel (aka Townview Motel) is directly across from Townview High School and less than one block from NW Harllee Elementary School. It is time that this dangerous business be closed. To read more about this motel follow the link.

For those that aren't familiar with the area, Brashear Elementary is next to the brand new Hampton-Illinois Library branch across from Kiest Park. These kids used to attend Daniel Webster, but when the new Brashear school opened the kids' bus service got cancelled. Link to full story

This is NOT an article about the trust fund. This is an article about how city money gets given away to cronies, the work never gets done, and no one goes to recover the money. Doesn't anyone care about your tax dollars?

...is going to be uncovering some of the ridiculousness that went on with these p-cards. My suggestion: look at all of the even number charges query that Allen set up. Some people made multiple charges within the same day totaling THOUSANDS. Also, some of the companies are listed as jewelry, watch, and silverware goods. One employee spent over $4,000 over 5 separate charges to one jewelry store. Also the same person had multiple charges of even amounts of $1,000 to places like WalMart and others. If they don't have receipts, and they don't have it they should put a lien on their retirement plans. THIS IS THAT BAD!

I’ve never seen a police chief get such grief for firing some officers. Chief Kunkle is trying to set precedent that bad officers will not be tolerated. If we have 3,000 officers and 9 or 10 get fired, that shows the Chief is getting rid of bad apples. Read the news articles, look at the violations, and you tell me if you feel it’s warranted. That means 99% of other officers are doing their job. |
