A Great Kid Needs Your Help...

Keldric Hall, a senior at Molina High School, is competing this weekend in the NHSCA 2008 High School Senior Nationals Wrestling Championship in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Keldric wrestles in the 215 pound class and just won the 2008 UIL Class 5A State Championship in his weight division. He just happens to be the FIRST Dallas ISD wrestler to win a state title!
According to teachers and administrators at Molina, Hall is not only a gifted student-athlete, but he and his twin sister are both great kids as well. The staff is especially impressed with the fact that he and his sister take time out of their schedules to do adaptive p.e. with Molina's special needs students.
Here's where you can help this great young man. This National Championship event is not a UIL event. Thus, the Dallas ISD Athletic Department does not provide any funding for he and his coach to go and participate.
His wrestling coach at Molina believes in Hall so much, that he went ahead and covered the expenses of this trip upfront. The Faculty and Staff raised about $1200 to help out, but that still leaves about $3000 that his coach should not have to cover on his own.
So, I am asking all of you to donate, even a small amount, to help one of the shining stars in the Dallas ISD and the city of Dallas as a whole. Also, share this story with those that you know and ask them to help out as well. If all of us do a little, we can more than take care of the expenses. If you want more information on the Championships, just go to www.nhsca.com/event_show.php?id=20174. To donate, contact the Principal at Molina High School (972-502-1000)or you can contact me at NEA-Dallas (214-821-2061).
From what I can tell from the website, Keldric has done very well. I'm not sure of his placing, but each one of these competitors is a state champion or runner-up in their respective state.
