I have been told that Ms. Jackson is/was a contestant on Oprah's show, "The Big Give." I haven't been able to confirm that yet. How did she get involved with Spence? Why is she talking to faculty and staff about personnel matters and school morale? I was also told she spoke to students about how to "fix" their school. Why?

Of course, all of my questions are currently based on unsubstantiated pieces of information. Would anyone like to confirm/deny/clarify this?
