Clarence David Fryar, III, recently named to head the DISD's newly-founded Office of Integrity resigned abruptly after he was found to have lied on his resume.

Fryar, 53, claimed among his qualifications that he was a certified public accountant (CPA). A check of the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy database [1] shows that Fryar's license expired in 1996.

Also, according to the database, a complaint was filed against Fryar in 1999 and his expired license was suspended (???).

Fryar left office after a week on the job when the Dallas Morning News [2] discovered the expired/suspended license.
