**UPDATE

It's been pointed out to me that with the recent bomb on a bus, that this isn't accurate. I've got a newer version.

We've decided that DART cannot possibly mean Dallas Area Rapid Transit. Anyone who's ever ridden the bus anywhere knows that "rapid" isn't part of the equation. Dallas doesn't really fit either since the transit system runs into both Collin and Rockwall Counties and the system spans well beyond the Dallas city limits. Area is just a filler word. Transit just means that something that moves things around.

Let's see if we can't come up with something more descriptive. Give the numbers of homeless people that mob you downtown looking for hands outs, the D should stand for Derelicts. Give the crime on DART property the R is obviously for Robbers. So, here's the new meaning of DART:

D_erelicts
A_nd
R_obbers
on
T_rains.....

And guess what, Carrollton, they're coming to a neighborhood near you....
