Let The Truth Be Known – Corruption at DISD
It’s been a rumor for years that former Superintendent Waldemar "Bill" Rojas resigned abruptly one day after a corrupt group of businessmen and a board member walked into his office and told him to look the other way while they illegally pushed through a contract worth millions of Dallas Taxpayers dollars.
It’s also been a rumor that he replied to the group of businessmen (and a board member) he was not going to jail for anyone – and resigned that day.
It’s a fact that Rojas resigned abruptly – without forewarning the transplants he brought with him to DISD.
It’s clear to me that Rojas was a caring man. He cared about our children’s education and the classroom teachers.
He was a refreshing superintendent for DISD and most teachers admired him and were ready to work under his leadership.
As to the rumors of his drinking problems? Let me just say the corruption at DISD will drive non-drinkers to hit the bottle!
We are praying for Dr. Hinojosa to keep him strong.
