Let's Support our Teachers tomorrow at DISD Admin meetings

ATTENTION students, parents and taxpayers of Seagoville, Dallas, Cockerel Hill and Balch Springs!

Let's take action by showing up at tomorrow’s DISD meetings scheduled for 3:00pm and 5:30pm to support our TEACHERS! The trustees will see that their constituents do not support Hinojosa's current plan of cutting teachers. Without the TEACHERS, DISD would not have gained the academic successes that were achieved this past year!
“IF TEACHERS GO, SUP GOES!”

Please join me and I hope to see you tomorrow at 3700 Ross Ave!

Protesting = Waste of Time?

I don't know if showing up to meetings and protesting is worth it. I think the Board of Trustees and hinojosa EXPECT people to show up. It's not a surprise to them and I really think they could care less on who they fire. hinojosa is only worried about covering his behind!! If hinojosa really cared about what he was doing to DISD employees and their families, he would personally (no matter how long it took) go to each school and let them go himself. Instead, he wants to tuck his tail and give that responsibility to the principals. But, since the principals are supposed to stay quiet about the whole thing, he has decided to send a letter to their homes. What a jerk! Not to worry though, what goes around, comes around and he will get his own.

Your Right

to give up a seat is the right thing to do for these teachers. I want to be there so badly but knowing the crowd I too will stand down and allow those directly slapped by this to be in the house. BRING IT DOWN

TA DA!

I usually occupy a seat in the boardroom to watch, but.........

I feel it is my right to give my seat up so every teacher can face this administration who wants to yank away good hard working teachers from their positions, because my take is that the administration will go after the higher paid teachers who in turn have the most to lose. I feel ten people should just walk off the stage if there are going to be any firings. Teachers in this district have been stripped of their rights, so how can they perform like teachers do in other large school districts? Please let the teachers have the right to sit first!

Any clues to where the video can be seen from tonight's meeting?

Good luck teachers!
