Help a school
Here's the deal; there are posts on the DISD web site page: Support Our Schools
So, help a school
I am doing my part, today I will purchase two boxes of toilet paper for a school. I have inside information that this is in short supply at times.
I also know that services are needed, small one hour time slots. I urge everyone who spends the hour looking at this site to call a school near you and add your name to the list of volunteers. Our schools are only as strong as our support.
While at a recent PTA meeting (those are open to the public by the way) I noticed the only attending people were school staff, students performing and the family members of the students who performed. Not a very big turn out, not the promised attention we all said we would show for all the children. PLEASE ATTEND PTA EVEN IF YOUR CHILD IS NOT PERFORMING, IT MAY BE YOUR CHILDS FRIEND OR THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS.
There should be a "word of the day", my suggestion is the word: IMPACT
Try to IMPACT a child daily!
