You know, just when you think you have somebody completely figured out, something comes along to throw a wrench in it. After Ron's speech to the Woodrow grads, I wanted to hear what to told other area graduates. So I grabbed a copy of the videotape from Madison High School. What I watched was probably one of the best graduation speeches I have ever heard.
We're having some technical difficulties (yes, even I have technical difficulties from time to time), but will try to get the speech online in the next few days.
Ron is somewhat of an enigma. I've always gotten the distinct impression he cares about kids, and wants success for everyone. He just doesn't seem to go about it in the right way. He's (as mom used to say) "fallen in with the wrong crowd." As Ron knows, everyone does things that are forgivable. I just wonder if he's done something that is not reversible.
At any rate, we'll bring you Ron's segment as soon as I can get it dubbed.
Note to me: next time, request DVD's from the DISD--not videotapes!
