field trip follies

I just wanna know how many of you teacher 'bloggers' are as fed up as our faculty is with this huge new litany of paperwork over simple, friggin field trips? I brought it up, with the hordes of others, at Inside Track last year, but to deaf ears apparently. Our community person, in NELC, added that 'we are working on reducing level of paperwork' -- what a crock and bologney !
I was amazed when our office mgr. came to our team mtg with all of this. Poor kids of DISD! Who cares about them , and they're the ones who will pay, as more and more teachers boycott field trips due to unnecessary and extreme paperwork.
Surely ours isn't the only learning community doing this? Please advise ...and man your battle stations. I am.
