Please Tell Me What's Going On

Something is seriously wrong with this picture…
It’s 2005 – and the African-American Community is faced with having to fight social injustice and oppression caused by some of its own elected officials and so-called "leaders."
The system is good, but we have some individuals that are elected and others who are in high positions of authority, but who are corrupt.
They are not interested in the good of others (mentoring young African American leaders); they are only interested in power – seeking power entirely for their own sake.
Wow! As the Great Marvin Gay once said, "Please Tell Me What's Going On!"

Yes, What Is Going On?!?!
I've always taken the position that, in order for Dallas to be a great city, we must improve everything about all parts of Dallas--including (and especially) the parts South of I-30.
What amazes me is that the very people (elected officials) who should be interested in doing this are too busy shaking people down or lining their own pockets.
They're always quick with the "big talk" about how abused and downtrodden South Dallas people are.
But they're always at a loss to explain behavior like wifebeating, or how they got that flashy new suit or hot new car without any visible means of income.
And nobody in South Dallas seems willing to toss these nitwits out on their ears!
You go Naomi! Clean house!
